Josh Thole: 8-for-24, HR, 3 RBI, 5 R, 4 2B, 3 BB

Thole's May turnaround continued last week. He popped his first home run of the season and hit four of his 12 doubles on the season. His best night of the week came on Friday when he went 3-for-4 with a 2-run home run, two runs scored and a double. After hitting .172 in April, Thole is hitting .311 this month.

Dillon Gee: 2-0, 12 1/3 IP, 3 ER, 7 H, 12 K, 5 BB

After a number of shaky outings, Gee regained his rhythm with two strong starts last week. His first start came on Monday when he allowed two earned runs on four hits over six innings with seven strikeouts. He returned to the mound on Saturday when he allowed one earned run on three hits in 6 2/3 innings with five strikeouts. Gee is now one of seven pitchers tied for second in the International League with five wins.

Dylan Owen: Win, 7 IP, 3 ER, 6 H, 7 K, BB

Owen got the call up to Buffalo and did not disappoint in his first outing with the Bisons. It was Owen's longest outing of the season. He induced three ground balls for every fly ball.

Chris Schwinden: Win, 6 IP, ER, 6 H, 5 K

After a 3-0 start in St. Lucie, Schwinden got the bump to Binghamton and snapped the B-Mets 9-game losing streak with his winning effort. Schwinden, a strong strike-thrower, walked none in his first Double-A outing after walking five in 34 1/3 innings in St. Lucie. Schwinden induced over two ground balls for every fly ball on Saturday.

Nick Evans: 7-for-19, 2 HR, 5 RBI, 4 R

Evans carried the water during a tough week for the B-Mets, swatting his sixth and seventh home runs of the season. His home run on Saturday was an absolute bomb to straight away left field in New Britain. Through 34 games this season, Evans is hitting .293 with seven home runs, 27 RBI with a .373 on-base percentage.

Jeurys Familia: 2 ND, 8 IP, 2 ER, 8 H, 5 K, 3 BB

Familia returned from the disabled list to make two starts last week. He first was shortened outing with a pitch limit that held Familia to three innings of one-run ball on two hits with two strikeouts. Familia returned to the mound on Friday. He held Lakeland to one earned run on six hits in five innings with three strikeouts. Familia induced 11 of his 15 outs on the ground during his second start.

Robert Carson: 2-0, 11 IP, 4 ER, 13 H, 11 K, 5 BB

Two victories last week for Carson ran his winning streak to three, making him 3-0 in five starts in May with a 4.01 ERA. Carson went 0-3 with a 7.07 ERA in four starts in April. In his first start last week, Carson went five innings and gave up two earned runs on four hits with nine strikeouts. He returned to the mound on Saturday and gave up two earned runs on nine hits in six innings.

Richard Lucas: 10-for-28, 2 HR, 7 RBI, 4 R, BB

Lucas turned it on at the end of the week by going 6-for-12 with two home runs and six RBI in his last three games. The two home runs upped his season total to six and his RBI total to 21. Lucas is hitting .214 (30-for-140) with nine extra base hits and nine walks this season.

Brandon Moore: ND, 7 IP, 4 H, 12 K

Moore took a very tough no-decision in one of the best starts across the South Atlantic League this season. Moore struck out 12 for the second time in three starts. Moore is 2-1 in May with a 1.67 ERA (5 ER in 27 IP) with 36 strikeouts against four walks. On the season, Moore has struck out 55 with only six walks in 42 2/3 innings. The opposition is hitting .203 off Moore.

Armando Rodriguez: 0-1, 9 IP, 4 ER, 6 H, 6 K, 6 BB

Rodriguez did not last long in his second start of the week, going just two innings and giving up four earned runs on three hits with three walks and four strikeouts. However, his best start of the season came last Sunday in Savannah's 18-inning loss. Rodriguez went seven innings, gave up three hits and struck out two. Rodriguez is 1-1 with a 2.00 ERA in four starts (18 innings) with a 14/12 K/BB ratio in May. The opposition is hitting just .125 off Rodriguez this month and .193 for the season (31 H in 44 1/3 IP).
