Toledo scored four runs in the eighth inning against Steve Schmoll (0-1) and Ryan Cullen, then put up six more in the ninth facing William Vazquez and Anderson Garcia.

In the first game, Mike Swindell (2-0) shut out Dunedin for 6 1/3 innings on four hits, backed by Jesus Flores' second-inning sacrifice fly and helped out by closer Carlos Muniz, who recorded the final two outs of the abbreviated seven-inning contest.

In Game 2, right-hander Sal Aguilar (1-1) allowed two runs and five hits in 5 1/3 innings, with both runs scoring on Ron Davenport's home run in the fourth inning.
