Pina's Immediate Future Up In The Air

Pina won't be available in the playoffs

BROOKLYN, NY - By all accounts, Eudy Pina was having a stellar season for the Brooklyn Cyclones. The Dominican-born outfielder was in the right place mentally and physically, but as the season hit the home stretch, Pina re-injured a hand that sidelined him for most of Spring Training, and has now sidelined him through the end of the season.

Before Pina was placed on the disabled list on August 29, he was hitting .260 through 50 games, with five home runs and 25 RBI. The injury put an abrupt end to a fine season both at the plate and in the field for Pina, and has left Pina and his coaches speculating about his future, both immediate and in the long run.
