Verrett gets the start in the playoff opener

ST. LUCIE, FL - Logan Verrett has impressed in his first full season within the Mets farm system. The 6'2" righty out of Baylor posted a 3.06 ERA in Savannah, and was called up in late July to St. Lucie. He is working on some things both on the field and off the field, and aims to help St. Lucie make a playoff run this postseason.

Drafted in the third round of the 2011 draft, Logan Verrett is working hard to show that he belongs. Verrett is a starting pitcher who works efficiently and has the ability to go deep into games.
