Sewald Staying Aggressive
The 2012 season at San Diego was Sewald's first season as a starting pitcher, where he pitched a total of 84.1 innings and had an ERA of 3.09. That season was his last at the University of San Diego, but Sewald, who is 6-foot-two and 190 pounds, set a career-high of 75 strikeouts while also limiting his opponents to a .234 batting average. Directly following his senior year, the Mets drafted Sewald in the 10th round. Since arriving to Brooklyn, Sewald has brought fire and excitement to the mound that he and his coaches lay mention to.
