It has been exactly two months since the 2012 MLB Draft and already, Paul Sewald shows incredible passion and fortitude on the mound. Having an ERA of 0.00 over a total of 19.2 innings pitched as a relief pitcher, Sewald continues to make strides, strides his coaches do not let go unseen.

The 2012 season at San Diego was Sewald's first season as a starting pitcher, where he pitched a total of 84.1 innings and had an ERA of 3.09. That season was his last at the University of San Diego, but Sewald, who is 6-foot-two and 190 pounds, set a career-high of 75 strikeouts while also limiting his opponents to a .234 batting average.
