SAVANNAH, GA - Since being drafted by the Mets in the 15th round of the 2010 draft, former Stetson University infielder Jacob Degrom has taken full advantage of his natural feel for the mound. Thus far he has used a plus fastball that has only gotten better and superb control to solidify his position as a valued prospect in the New York Mets system.

After the first 96 2/3 innings of his professional career Jacob deGrom has yielded only 16 walks. That is quality control. Especially when you consider he has only been pitching for three years.
