Biography:
Rafael Lopez is a product of the Mets' Dominican academy and team. In the aftermath of 9/11, Lopez aged 2 years. Lopez had difficulties adjusting to the bullpen in 2002. Armed with a low 90s fastball with good sinking action, a solid curveball and change up, Lopez remains a prospect with MLB potential. But, he is no longer considered a top prospect.
