Biography:
The Mets drafted Robert Keppel in the 2000. Keppel attended HS in a suburb of St. Louis where he was all-St. Louis in basketball (as a point guard) and baseball. He received a basketball scholarship to attend Notre Dame University. He slid in the draft because both parents were alumni of ND and he had 2 older sisters attending the school. Keppel was very active in community-based volunteer activities in his home town. He has good stuff, but needs to fill out if he is to remain a starting pitcher.
