| Biography: |
| The Mets acquired Phil Seibel from the Expos along with Scott Strickland and Matthew Watson. The Mets sent Dicky Gonzalez, Bruce Chen, Saul Rivera and Luis Figerora to the Expos.
Phil Seibel attended the University of Texas. He pitched for the Longhorns in the 2000 College World Series. He also hit .310 for the Longhorns. Seibel also pitched for TeamUSA in 1999 where Aaron Heilman and Lenny DiNardo were among his teammates.
Phil Seibel who is not a hard thrower patterns himself after Tom Glavine. He has excellent control and a decent repetoire. |
