Current Contract:
Signed a one-year, $8,325,000 contract with the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim on February 15, 2006. According to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch the Cardinals will pick up about $1.65 million of the pro-rated portion of his original salary.
*Weaver can earn an additional $600,000 in performance bonuses: $300,000 each for 200 innings pitched and 32 starts as a pitcher.
Became a Cardinal:
Acquired from the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim in exchange for outfielder Terry Evans on July 5, 2006.
2005 Season:
Weaver went 14-11 with a 4.22 ERA in 34 starts, allowing 220 hits, striking out 157 and walking 43 in 224 innings.
