| The young Canadian was drafted as a third baseman but converted to catching in 2003 and has quickly moved up the Dodger system, getting the call to Los Angeles when Dioner Navarro was injured. He played so well he took over the starting position and Navarro was traded. Drafted out of Chippola Junior College in Florda, he moved from the GC Dodgers to South Georgia, to Vero Beach to Jacksonville and was with Las Vegas when called up. Rated the organizationls fourth best player before the season and was added to the Dodger 40-man roster November 23, 2004. Baseball America rated him the best srike zone judgement and he best devensive catcher in the Southern League and in the Dodger system. |
