| Julian Jawonn Redman...Nickname is "Tike"...Single....Is a 1996 graduate of Tuscaloosa (AL) Academy High School where he played baseball and football (running back and wide receiver) and ran track...Baseball team was state runner-up his senior year...Signed by Pirate scout Dave Klipstein...Participated in the 2000 Arizona Fall League and hit .304 (35-for-115) with two homers, 17 RBI and 11 stolen bases in 31 games with Peoria and was named to the all-prospect team...His brother Prentice made his major league debut with the New York Mets in 2003. |
