| MacLane began the 2004 season with Capital City (A) of the South Atlantic League, and went 5-2, with a 2.39 ERA. Evan also appeared for Brooklyn in 2003, pitching in just one regular season game, and earning the win with 6.0 shutout innings. He went on to make the start in Game Two of the NYPL Championship Series against Williamsport, and surrendered just one run in 5.0 innings in an eventual Brooklyn loss. Evan was drafted by the Mets in the 25th round of the 2003 draft, out of Feather River Junior College. At Feather River, MacLane was an All-American and the California JUCO Pitcher of the Year. MacLane began the season with the Capital City Bombers going 5-2 with a 2.39 ERA. In 67.2 innings he allowed 57 hits, 18 earned runs, 10 walks and 66 strikeouts.
For the Cyclones, MacLane went 5-2 with a 2.48 ERA. In 69 innings he allowed 61 hits, 19 earned runs, 6 walks and 68 strikeouts. He was the starter for the opening game of the NY-Penn League playoffs and picked up the victory pitching seven scoreless innings. |
