| Jose Reyes signed in August 1999 and was assigned directly to the Kingsport Mets. Reyes has been the youngest player in every league he has played in from Kingsport to the Majors. The Mets converted the naturally right-handed Reyes into a switch hitter beginning in May 2000 and moved him to 2B in 2004 to make room for FA SS Kaz Matsui. |
