| Biography: |
Acquired in March of 2002 from the Florida Marlis with RHP Antonio Alfonseca for LHP Dontrelle Willis. Clement had a breakout year in 2002 with the Cubs, going 12-11 in 32 starts with a 3.66 ERA. He finished fourth in the National League in strikeouts and hits per 9 IP. Clement followed that up with an impressive 2003 season, going 14-12 with a 4.11 ERA in 32 starts.
