It took until deadline day for the Mets to ink their top selection in the 2009 draft, but Steven Matz, the 2nd round and 72nd overall pick, signed his deal and is now in Florida ready to kick start his career. It has only been small steps so far, but the left-hander is excited for more as he prepares for off-season workouts.
