The New York Mets selected the first baseman in the 5th round of the 2004 MLB Draft out of St. Mary’s High School in Phoenix, Arizona. Although an ankle injury forced him out of the lineup for over a month during the first half of the season, he still managed to meet the goals he set. Here is a scouting report on St. Lucie first baseman Nick Evans.
