The New York Mets drafted Mike Carp in the 9th round of the 2004 draft out of Lakeland High School. An All-State California player in high school, Carp has shown unbelievable power potential at such a young age and he figures to be one of the youngest players in the Florida State League in 2006. Here's a scouting report on Mike Carp.
