The New York Mets signed Ambiorix Concepcion as an international free agent out of the Dominican Republic. Concepcion, who broke on to the prospect scene in 2004 with the Cyclones while drawing numerous comparisons to Vladmir Guerrero, disappointed in his first taste of the long-season leagues in 2005.
