Jacobs is hitting for power in Buffalo

BUFFALO, NY - When Mike Jacobs started the season, he expected to be a regular player for the New York Mets. His plan did not go as hoped as Jacobs was quickly sent to Triple-A Buffalo. Since then, Jacobs has done his best to keep his head up, work on his game, and wait for another opportunity with the Mets or elsewhere.

It's been a rough season for Bisons first baseman Mike Jacobs so far in 2010. After starting out as the clean up hitter for the Mets on opening day, he quickly lost his job to prospect Ike Davis before the first month of the season ended.
