Moviel gave up three runs, but was very sharp

PORT ST. LUCIE, FL - The Mets put a stop to their losing streak thanks to a combination of strong pitching and timely offense in a 9-3 victory. The Mets received a strong start from Scott Moviel, clutch run-scoring hits and home run power in a sound victory. Inside Pitch was there to catch it all for this edition of Mets Minor League Notebook.

Scott Moviel had his best outing of the season. Moviel worked six effective innings in which he gave up three runs (one earned), struck out four, gave up five hits and only one walk. Moviel's stuff was effective right from the start. He mixed all of his pitches very well, preventing Fort Myers from picking up on a specific sequence. He regularly mixed which pitch he used to start at-bats...
