Shaw Shuts It Down After Strong Finish

St. Lucie pitcher Scott Shaw's season was marked with inconsistency, but the right-hander battled tough. Fastball command, or lack thereof, was the driving force behind Shaw's ups and downs, but close work with pitching coach Phil Regan eventually led the right-hander to a strong month of August which allowed him to head into the off-season on a high note.

"The season definitely had its challenges," said Scott Shaw. "There was a lot to learn from the season I had. I definitely think I could have pitched better and I think there were parts of my game that were both good and bad during the season, but I came out of it with a much better feel for where I am as a pitcher."
