Shields Ready to Move Pass First Season

Shields didn't let a slow 1st season get him down

Simply put, it was not the first season the Mets 2009 second overall pick hoped for when he arrived in Brooklyn. Shortstop Robbie Shields' summer did not start until deep into the Cyclones schedule and from there he never found a rhythm. Now Shields is ready to move passed a difficult first season and reset for the 2010 season.

"I obviously struggled, but I had a good time. It was fun. I had a great time in Brooklyn and now I'm looking to get ready for next year," said first-year shortstop Robbie Shields.
