Gee Returning to Full Strength

Gee missed most of the season with a labrum injury

Right-hander Dillon Gee was riding a big wave of momentum when the 2009 season started, but he saw his year abruptly end in late May due to a labrum injury. The rest of the season turned out to be a battle of both mental and physical persistence as Gee remained focus on building up his shoulder while trying to shake off the loss of a season.

This was not the season Dillon Gee anticipated. Frankly, it was the complete opposite. Coming off a stellar 2008 campaign in which he went a combined 10-6 with a 2.92 ERA in 154 1/3 innings in St. Lucie and Binghamton, followed up by a 4-0 mark and 2.22 ERA en route to becoming the Puerto Rican Winter League Pitcher of the Year, the right-hander was expected to take the next step.
