Stinson returns to St. Lucie

SAVANNAH, GA - As the calendar flips to July, the Sand Gnats made a number of roster moves that included recent draftees getting their first taste of the long-season leagues. The roster shakeup was headlined by reliever Josh Stinson returning to St. Lucie.

For the second straight July, Josh Stinson has been promoted from the Mets Low-A affiliate to their High-A ballclub. Stinson's 3.61 ERA and consistent outings out of the bullpen while with Savannah, was enough to send the right-hander to St. Lucie, the Mets announced Wednesday.
