Savannah First Half Recap

Despite winning only half of their games so far this June, the Savannah Sand Gnats managed to get victories in seven of their last 10 games before the All-Star break to bring them to the .500 mark at the halfway mark of the 2009 season.

Consistent outings from the pitching staff coupled by solid hitting from a young but dangerous lineup, has Savannah (35-35) in prime position to continue to move up the standings in the South Atlantic League they enter the second half.
