Jeff Kaplan moves into the St. Lucie rotation

SAVANNAH, GA - Yesterday's news of promotions to Binghamton drew the most attention, but behind that were the promotions of two of the biggest pieces to the Savannah Sand Gnats' success this season. Right-hander Jeff Kaplan and southpaw Jimmy Johnson are off to St. Lucie where they will fill the voids of those exiting the Florida State League. After consistent, impressive performances that left hitters searching for answers at the plate, two of Savannah's top pitchers got the call up to High-A, as announced by the Sand Gnats Wednesday.
