Vital Statistics: Name: Nick Carr DOB: April 19, 1987 Height: 6'1" Weight: 195 Throws: Right Bats: Right Status: 41st Round Pick (2005) – Twins Falls HS (ID) Nick Carr was riding a wave of momentum when he broke camp last April, coming off a strong performance with Brooklyn in 2007. With the Cyclones—his second trip through short-season ball—he posted a 5-2 record and a 3.80 ERA in 14 starts which helped him claim a role in St. Lucie's rotation this year. Yet the start to Carr's season could not have gone worse as he went 0-7 with a 7.57 ERA in his first 11 starts. However, despite lasting just 46 1/3 total innings in that time span, Carr recognized the issues he had and worked hard to correct his flaws.
