In the case of 17-year-old outfielder Cesar Puello, he fit right into those plans and excelled on the bigger stage. Puello, a member of the talented 2007 international free agent class, displayed good offensive tools in his Gulf Coast League season as he hit .305 with one home run and 17 RBI in 40 games. Though his plate discipline was lacking at times as he drew just five walks in 151 at-bats, he demonstrated a budding skillset of using the whole field that left scouts thinking a true hitter will grow from his nascent abilities.
