Doyle Feeling Good Ahead of Instructs

Dock Doyle was selected in the fifth round of last June's draft on the promise of his skills both at the plate and behind it. During his time in Kingsport, he made in strides in both, refining his game and using his first season as a stepping stone of what is to come.

Dock Doyle, drafted out of Coastal Carolina, was the first backstop selected by the Mets in this summer's draft. But 2008 was just the first time that the 22-year-old was an everyday player.
