Pellot Ready for Action

St. Lucie second baseman Hector Pellot lost virtually his entire 2008 season after a hip injury requiring surgery put him on the shelf in early May. It was a disappointment for the 21-year-old second baseman, but after a long period of rest and rehab he is on the verge of his on-field return.

Following the 2007 season in which Hector Pellot hit a career high .275 with eight home runs, 37 RBI and 35 steals in Savannah [114 games] and St. Lucie [six games], the organization and Pellot had high hopes for what was to come after making the High-A club outright from Spring Training.
