Pellot Expects More in New Season
To date, Hector Pellot's career has been a tale of two seasons. In his rookie season, the second baseman went straight to the South Atlantic League but struggled mightily as he hit just .189 in 359 at-bats. Yet his fortunes turned in 2007 as a better understanding of pitching and confidence in the batter's box allowed him to surge to a .275 average in 120 games—including six games in St. Lucie to end the year. Now as he prepares for year three, Pellot wants to stay on the positive track and continue the growth he showed last year.
