The New York Mets selected the shortstop in the 10th round of the 2007 MLB Draft out of Northwestern State University (La.). He spent the majority of his season with Kingsport before a late season promotion to Savannah, but along the way showed a compliment of strong tools with good upside. Here is a scouting report on Kingsport / Savannah shortstop Brandon Richey.
