Bowman Rehabbing His Way Back

Once one of the most promising prospects in the Mets' farm system, Shawn Bowman had missed significant portions of both the 2005 and 2006 seasons with a broken back. Trying to rehab his way back this past season, he lasted just six games before finally giving in to back surgery and he recently began his long road to recovery.

"I'm doing alright," Shawn Bowman revealed. "I started a rehab [last] week. I'm doing fine so far. So far everything has gone above and beyond anything I would have expected. I've been remotely pain-free other than the expected pain that comes from [any] surgery." Starting Spring Training late this past season trying to rehab from his second broken back in as many seasons the year prior...
