Glavine said, "I'm not comfortable talking about it, but I hope so," when talk turns to the statistic that has been essentially an automatic entry into the Hall of Fame.
Glavine's start Friday was pushed back a day because of a rainout.
The Giants are one of two teams to beat him this season (Atlanta, on April 19, is the other) and the only one to score more than three runs off him.
Glavine is 4-1 with a 1.38 ERA in six starts at Shea Stadium, and he's on a 6-0 run with a 2.27 ERA.
For much of his career, Glavine has lived on the outside corner with his fastball and change-up, but has adjusted and is challenging hitters more inside with breaking balls.
