Norfolk Tides
Triple-A International League

Jason Scobie was rapped for eight runs (seven earned) in 5-2/3 innings Sunday as Rochester defeated Norfolk, 8-4.

Scobie (0-3) surrendered 12 hits and a two-run homer to Terry Tiffee in the effort. The right-hander has allowed no fewer than three earned runs in each of his five starts this season, and owns a 7.00 ERA.

The Tides were held scoreless through five innings by Red Wings starter Mike Smith. Sandy Martinez hit a two-run homer in the ninth inning off reliever Jason Miller.

Notes: Steve Schmoll pitched 2-1/3 innings of scoreless relief, allowing one hit and striking out two. … Julio Ramirez and Cory Aldridge also had runs batted in for Norfolk.


Binghamton Mets
Double-A Eastern League

Binghamton's Willie Collazo took a no-hit bid into the eighth inning Sunday before settling for a 4-2 victory over the Erie SeaWolves.

Collazo (3-1) walked one and hit a batter over 7-1/3 innings, striking out four, but had not allowed a safety until Danilo Sanchez singled to right with one out in the eighth.

Christopher Maples followed with a single and Collazo was pulled in favor of Tim McNab, who allowed a two-run double to Tony Giarratano.

Binghamton was paced by a two-run homer from Andy Wilson in the third inning, Wilson's first of the year. Michel Abreu also plated a run with a fourth-inning sacrifice fly.

Notes: Henry Owens retired the final four batters, striking out two, to record his sixth save. … Abreu (.375) and Jorge Padilla (.325) each had two hits for Binghamton.


St. Lucie Mets
Single-A Florida State League

Ambiorix Concepcion's ninth-inning RBI single was the game-winner as the St. Lucie Mets came from behind to defeat Brevard County Sunday, 4-3.

Trailing 3-0 going into the eighth, the Mets drew closer when Jesus Flores slugged a two-run homer off Manatees reliever Robert Hinton, his second.

Corey Coles tied the game in the ninth with a run-scoring hit after Caleb Stewart and Ryan Coultas lined one-out singles. Jose Coronado fanned for the second out, but Concepcion - who finished the day 2-for-4 - drove home the deciding run with a single.

Notes: Travis Hope (1-0) picked up his first victory with 2-1/3 innings of shutout relief. Hope allowed one hit, walked one and struck out two. … Blake Eager started for St. Lucie and allowed three runs (two earned) and seven hits in 6-2/3 innings.


Hagerstown Suns
Single-A South Atlantic League

Leivi Ventura homered and Tony Piazza had a run-scoring single as the Suns rallied for two runs in the ninth inning Sunday, defeating Delmarva 4-3.

Ventura started the inning with a solo homer to left off the Shorebirds' James Hoey, erasing a one-run lead and driving in his second run of the game. Jonel Pacheco followed with a double and moved to third on a sacrifice bunt, scoring one out later when Piazza singled to left.

Jonathan Sanchez also had a two-run single in the game for Hagerstown. Marcelo Perez (2-0) picked up the win with a scoreless ninth inning.

Notes: Sal Aguilar started for the Suns and allowed three runs (two earned) and five hits over six innings, striking out five. … Pacheco (.257) went 2-for-4.
