Triple-A International League
Jose Lima was rapped for nine runs and 11 hits in four innings Monday as the Tides were blown out at Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, 13-3.
Lima struck out six and walked one, but allowed six runs in the first inning, including a two-run triple to Shawn Garrett and a three-run homer to Bobby Scales. The Tides scored all three of their runs in the sixth inning as Lastings Milledge hit his first home run of the season, a solo shot, and Juan Tejeda slugged a two-run homer.
Double-A Eastern League
Harper, who had three hits and is batting .421, lined a two-run single in the fourth inning. Jay Caligiuri plated Binghamton's third run later in the frame, reaching on a fielder's choice. Henry Owens pitched a scoreless ninth inning for his fourth save.
St. Lucie Mets
Single-A Florida State League
St. Lucie's Chuck Smith hit a batter and allowed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the sixth inning Monday, allowing the Daytona Cubs to come from behind en route to an 8-2 victory at Daytona.
Jose Sanchez started for St. Lucie and was strong, scattering five hits and one run over five innings, walking two and striking out four. The Cubs exploded for five runs in the eighth inning against Robert Paulk to put the game out of reach, as Paulk allowed the first six batters of the inning to reach base.
Single-A South Atlantic League
The Suns were off Monday. Hagerstown opens a four-game series against West Virginia on Tuesday, beginning an eight-game homestand.
Hagerstown last played on Sunday, defeating the Lake County Captains 3-2.
