Milledge returns to lineup

Posted Oct 19, 2005

New York Mets top prospect Lastings Milledge returned to Arizona Fall League action and made his presence immediately felt.

The 20-year-old came back Tuesday after suffering a bruised left heel on Oct. 12, going 1-for-3 with two runs scored and a stolen base in the Grand Canyon Rafters' 3-0 victory over Phoenix.

A first-round draft selection of the Mets in the June 2003 free agent draft, Milledge split the 2005 season between Class-A St. Lucie of the Florida State League and Double-A Binghamton of the Eastern League.

In 24 Arizona Fall League at-bats, Milledge is hitting .333 with one home run, two doubles, six RBI and two stolen bases.
