David Wright & Prentice Redman Promoted to AAA

The Press & Sun Bulletin in Binghamton is reporting that 3B David Wright and RF Prentice Redman have been sent to AAA Norfolk after Binghamton's split of a double header Saturday with the Bowie Baysox in Maryland.

In 60 games for Binghamton this season, David Wright hit .363 with 10 HRs, 40 RBI, and 20 SBs. Wright scored 44 runs, 27 doubles, and drew two less walks (39) than strikeouts (41). Like Wright, Redman scored 44 runs for Binghamton this season and actually had one more double on the year (28).

In fact, Wright's impressive season at Binghamton this year had him ranked in the Top Five of several offensive categories in the Eastern League. Wright's .467 on-base percentage was tops in the Eastern League. He also ranked first in hits with 81, second in stolen bases (20) behind teammate Wayne Lydon, third in doubles with 27, and tied with Redman for fourth in the league with 44 runs scored. Wright (.619) and Redman (.585) were #1 and #2 in slugging percentage in the Eastern League.
