Flores Making The Adjustment

Flores had a three-hit game on Thursday

BINGHAMTON, NY - Wilmer Flores, who was promoted to the Binghamton Mets on June 21st, has already had an eventful stretch in Double-A. The Venezuelan native started off extremely strong after his promotion, hitting .383 over his first twelve games, in which he had two or more hits in six of them.

Now in the dog days of August, the infielder is struggling a bit, batting just .200 over his last ten games entering Thursday's game. Hitting coach Luis Natera attributes this to the time of year, citing the weariness many players feel by August. "He got a great start when he came here," Natera said, "but the league started making adjustments to him, now he needs to start making adjustments...
