Flores Finally Takes Next Step

BINGHAMTON, NY - It's taken three years but Wilmer Flores has reached the next step. Widely known as one of the Mets' top prospects, Flores was promoted to Binghamton last week after spending a portion of the last two seasons, and the start of 2012, with high-A St. Lucie.

"I'm just happy to be here," Flores said. "I've been waiting for this for the last three years and it finally happened, and [I'm] just gonna keep doing what I was doing in high-A."
