Opponents are hitting .120 against Rodriguez

BINGHAMTON, NY - Right-hander Armando Rodriquez, starting pitcher for Double-A and high-A last year, was moved to full-time reliever this season for the Binghamton Mets, where he has proven to be the most consistent pitcher in the bullpen, according to pitching coach Glenn Abbott.

"He really surprised me doing so well so early," Abbott said. "When guys are converted they usually are not as good; but he took to the new position very well." Born in San Cristobal, Dominican Republic, Rodriguez was signed by the New York Mets as an International free agent in 2007. This is his first season with the Binghamton team.
