BINGHAMTON, NY – Kai Gronauer made important strides at the plate and behind it during the 2010 season. Now, the B-Mets backstop aims to continue that development as he assumes the everyday job in Double-A for the first time in his career. After a breakthrough year in 2010, catcher Kai Gronauer earned a promotion to Double-A Binghamton for the start of the 2011 season. Gronauer, who hit .267 in 50 games with Class A Savannah, was promoted to St. Lucie midway through last season.
